1. Scope of Coordination Service
Ujjeevana Araike Kendra coordinates supportive home nursing, bedside attendants, and elderly companionship in Shivamogga. We match screened attendants and nursing personnel to patient care plans agreed upon with the family.
2. Attendant vs. Clinical Nurse Roles
Non-clinical attendants provide personal care (hygiene, feeding, ambulation). Clinical nursing procedures require registered nursing credentials and written doctor orders. Attendants are prohibited from administering injections or medical treatments.
3. Family Responsibilities
The patient’s family agrees to provide a safe, respectful working environment, furnish accurate medical discharge summaries, provide prescribed medicines and sterile supplies, and promptly notify coordinators of any significant changes in patient status.
4. Shift Scheduling & Punctuality
Standard care arrangements are scheduled on 12-hour day, 12-hour night, or 24-hour rotational bases. Shift replacements for illness or emergencies are coordinated as promptly as possible.
5. Emergency Exclusions
Ujjeevana Araike Kendra is not an emergency hospital or ambulance response unit. The client family retains primary responsibility for hospital emergency transfers when acute medical conditions arise.
